Introduction

| Scruffums and Fitz are both very…comical characters. So, why not have a contest with them as the main subjects? Their anatomies are both very cartoony, which makes them fun for just about anyone to draw. And, also, I’ve been watching the Food Network a lot lately. And I love the Food Network. So…I thought, “Why not mix the two?” And so here we are. |

| Click on the picture of the character you’d like to see a reference picture of, as well as learn more about the character himself. As stated earlier; they’re both very general characters…style-wise, that is. |

Your Options

| For this contest, there are two different options you can go with. You can either have a nice, finished, full image, or a small comic. Here are some specifics about each option:

Full Image:

If you choose to do a full image, it must be colored. That doesn’t necessarily mean that it has to have a background, but that would surely improve your chances of winning.

Comic:

If you choose to do a comic, it does not have to be colored, although that would definitely improve your chances of winning. It doesn’t have to be a full, epic comic. Just a few panels will do, as long as it has a point of some sort.

Whichever you choose, be sure to know that the characters themselves are very comedy orientated. So, it wouldn’t be wise to draw an “emo” picture of anything. This contest is for fun! |

The Theme

| Now time to get to the heart of the contest: the theme’s explanation.
Scruffums and Fitz as chefs. Yeah, let that roam your mind for a while. As you can imagine, the two of them as chefs would most likely be an utter disaster.

Requirements of the theme:

Choose a real, actual food dish to be featured in your entry. Somewhere in the image or comic, you should show the completed dish. It doesn’t have to be anything too complicated, but be sure to name it in your description! Also, it would be very interesting if it were an actual food dish!

Also, you must have a “secret ingredient.” And your secret ingredient can be, literally, anything. From worms to stars to the chefs themselves! But your secret ingredient must also be apparent in the final image of the dish itself (wherever you may draw that). For instance, if you had pie as your dish and worms as your secret ingredient, you could have worms popping out of the pie or something. See where I’m going with this? |

| If you want inspiration, I suggest you watch a bit of the Food Network as well! It’s really fun, and hey, you might learn something! |

Rules

Your entry should be a full, colored image or a small comic.
Your entry should have an actual food dish in it somewhere, which should be named in the artist's description.
Your entry's dish should have a secret ingredient, which should also be named in the artist's description, and also seen in your entry.
Your entry should be comical. Now, this isn't a "who's funniest" contest by any means, but it's also not a very serious-themed contest.
It's highly suggested that you read all of the information given in this journal so that you may understand the contest more.
Your entry should be sent to me in the form of a note, or in the form of a comment in this journal.

...A fully colored and shaded picture with any background of their choice and a maximum of five characters.

...A fully colored, shaded picture of any two characters with their choice, and any background color of their choice.

3rd Place Winner will receive
...A flat-colored picture of one character of their choice with a white background.
